Those who are against "the war on drugs" (henceforth known as "potheads") have long since said that making drugs illegal only encourages drug use; if they were legalized, then people wouldn't feel such a rush from breaking the law.
This has always been considered nonsense by the great majority; now there's evidence to prove that this is nonsense.
The British government, known since the time of Thomas Paine for their staunch opposition to common sense, has essentially removed all limitations on alcohol. The predictable result is that alcohol abuse has skyrocketed. Alcohol is not only available anywhere, but the price has dropped as the supply has increased.
Would legalization of marijuana mean less drug abuse? If you think so, you're smoking something.
